The Vizsla is
also called the Hungarian Pointer. At the end of World War I, the Vizsla
was all but extinct. The importation of the breed into the United
States began in the 1950s. The breed was admitted into the American
Kennel Club in 1960.

VIZSLA CLUB.
HORSES: Horses will be available to rent be the brace for handlers and gallery from Arnold
Treadway. If you wish to rent a horse by the day or part of a day, please call Arnold at (410) 335-
8045 evenings. Horses rented by the brace must be returned after each brace unless prior
arrangements have been made. Handlers will have priority. All rental fees are to be paid directly
to Arnold.
HORSES MAY NOT BE AVAILABLE ON FRIDAY.
WATER AND ELECTRICITY ARE AVAILABLE ON THE GROUNDS.
FOOD: A limited breakfast and lunch menu will be available on the grounds. A judges’ dinner
will be held on the grounds after the days running on Saturday. Please sign up Saturday morning.
A light dinner will be planned for Friday for those on the grounds.

DIRECTIONS: From points North and East, take I-95 South to exit 133B and go north on Rt. 17
to just north of Goldvein where you will see a sign for Phelps WMA and Sumerduck. Make a left
onto Rt. 651 and go approximately 7.5 miles . The grounds are on the left. This is a hard turn with
a big rig. You can go past the entrance a short way to Rt. 620 which comes in form the left and
turn around and approach from the other direction.
From points North and West take I-81 to Winchester and pick up Rt. 17 South. Follow Rt. 17
South to Warrenton where it joins Rt. 29 South. Follow Rt. 29 south to Remington. Make a left
onto Rt. 651 and go east on 651 approximately 5.3 miles to the grounds on the right.
From points South and East, take I-95 north to exit 133B and follow as above.
From points South and West, take I-64 to Charlottsville and pick up Rt. 29 North. Follow Rt. 29
north to Remington and follow as above.
